TIAGO PIRESTiago Pires, also known by the nickname "Saca", is a recently retired Portuguese professional surfer. He was the first Portuguese male surfer to qualify for the WSL Elite Tour. Pires was born in Lisbon, Portugal, in 1980. He started surfing at the age of 9, winning the National Under-14 Championship in 1994 and the Under-16 in 1995. In 1996, at age 16, he joined the national circuit, where he met José Seabra, who became his trainer. In 1997, he beat several European juniors in Hossegor to contest the world junior title in 1998. There he faced Andy Irons, Hobgood and Taj Burrow, among others. In 1999 he joined the WQS World Qualifying Series for the first time. A year later he got his first WQS victory at Vila Nova de Gaia, and in 2007 he qualified for the WCT, finishing 31st and requalifying through the WQS. En Juillet aura lieu durant quelques jours l’International Surf Film Festival à l’événement incontournable de la culture surf, qui rassemble amateurs et professionnels autour des meilleures réalisations cinématographiques de l’année. Dates à plus d’informations sur l’événement Événementunique en son genre, la 17e édition de l'International Surf Film Festival se déroulera à Anglet du 5 au 8 juillet. Rencontre avec Bruno Delaye créateur et directeur de l'événement. Du 10 au 13 Juillet 2013, l’International Surf Film Festival d’Anglet fêtera sa 10ème édition. Pendant 4 jours, Anglet accueillera cet événement incontournable de la culture surf, rassemblant amateurs et professionnels autour des meilleures réalisations cinématographiques de l’année. Depuis la création du festival en 2004 près de 200 films ont été projetés, proposant chaque année un panorama international des plus belles images du genre. Face à l’océan, sur le site de la Chambre d’Amour, des écrans géants plein-jour permetteront au public de visionner gratuitement l’intégralité des films en compétition. Un jury international, composé de personnalités du monde du surf et de l’image, annoncera le palmarès et décernera 7 prix à l’occasion de la cérémonie de clôture. Cette année le festival crée une nouvelle catégorie ouverte aux moins de 18 ans la sélection “Short – Youth”. Destinée aux jeunes qui filment et montent régulièrement les images de leurs sessions de surf, cette nouvelle catégorie a pour but d’encourager la création de ces jeunes talents.

Depuis un peu plus de 10 ans, la ville d'Anglet a décidé de profiter de son cadre exceptionnel pour promouvoir le festival international du film de surf. Du jeudi 10 au dimanche 13 juillet 2014, des écrans géants vont permettre au public de visionner gratuitement l'intégralité des films de surf en compétition. L'idée est venue aux membres de Bruno Delaye Production et à la ville d'Anglet de mutualiser leurs efforts afin de faire découvrir cette discipline et d'offrir plus de visibilité au film de surf en Europe. Un jury international, composé de personnalités du monde du surf et de l’image, annoncera le palmarès et décernera 7 prix à l’occasion de la cérémonie de clôture. L’international surf film festival 2017 débarque une nouvelle fois à Anglet ! C’est la 14ème édition et ça se passera du Lundi 10 au jeudi 13 juillet 2017 à la chambre d’amour à Anglet. Découvrez le concept, le programme, et les films en compétition cette année ! International surf film festival Le concept L’international surf film festival a pour objectif de mettre en lumière les meilleures productions et réalisations de l’année. Le tout dans un cadre de rêve, dans un transat face à l’océan, à la Chambre d’Amour d’Anglet. Des écrans géants sont installés et vous permettent de visionner gratuitement l’intégralité des films en compétition ! Le festival du film de surf 2017 L’international surf film festival se déroulera sur trois sites de projections en front de mer. Les projections auront lieu de 16h30 à 20h puis de 21H30 à minuit.
